Homeowner Terms of Service
These Homeowner Terms govern your use of MowClick as a person requesting lawn-care services. By creating an account or booking a service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and promptly notify support@mowclick.com if you believe your account is being misused.
2. MowClick's role
MowClick operates a marketplace that helps homeowners request services, review offers, communicate with independent lawn-care providers, and make payments. Providers are independent businesses, not MowClick employees or agents. MowClick does not direct the provider's methods, schedule, equipment, staffing, or professional judgment.
3. Requests and offers
You are responsible for describing the property, requested work, address, access conditions, hazards, and timing accurately. An offer becomes a booking only after you select it and successfully complete the payment-authorization step. A provider may decline or withdraw an offer before booking.
4. Pricing and payment authorization
The amount shown at checkout is the provider's accepted quote. Stripe processes the payment. MowClick does not receive or store your complete card number. Checkout places a temporary authorization on your payment method; it is not a completed charge.
The authorization can expire according to card-network and Stripe rules. If it expires before approval, the booking may require a new authorization.
5. Completion and payment capture
The provider must submit a completion photo and mark the work complete. Review the work before selecting approval. When you approve, you instruct MowClick to capture the authorized amount and facilitate the provider's payout. Do not approve work you reasonably believe is incomplete or materially different from the accepted offer; contact support first.
6. Cancellation, refunds, and disputes
You may cancel through the available workflow before completion, subject to the booking status and any disclosed restrictions. Canceling an open authorization releases or voids it, although your bank controls how quickly a pending hold disappears. Refunds after capture are reviewed according to the circumstances, applicable law, Stripe rules, and evidence available to MowClick. Partial refunds, chargebacks, fraud claims, and disputed services may require manual review.
7. Property access and safety
You must have authority to request work at the property. Provide safe and lawful access, disclose known hazards, secure pets, identify irrigation equipment and fragile property, and remove objects that could create risk. Do not request unlawful, dangerous, or unrelated work through MowClick.
8. Communications, photos, and location
Use platform messaging for booking-related communications. Completion photos may show the serviced property and are used to document the work. A provider may voluntarily share approach location during an active booking; this is a convenience and is not guaranteed to be exact, continuous, or available.
9. Marketplace conduct
Do not harass others, misrepresent a property or request, misuse personal information, interfere with the platform, evade payment, submit fraudulent claims, or use MowClick for prohibited activity. We may restrict or close accounts to protect users, comply with law, prevent fraud, or enforce these Terms.
10. Service limitations
Availability, response time, and service quality depend on independent providers. To the extent permitted by law, MowClick does not guarantee that a provider will accept a request, arrive at a particular time, or produce a particular result. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Responsibility and claims
You remain responsible for your instructions, property information, account activity, and lawful use of the service. Providers remain responsible for their work. Contact support promptly with relevant messages, photos, and booking information if a problem occurs.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will use a new policy version and may require renewed acceptance. You may stop using MowClick at any time, subject to unresolved bookings, payments, disputes, and legal retention obligations.
